Hello All:

It's Podcast Tuesday. With the introduction of our new Mapleview Social, I recalled a generated Podcast based on a writing I created a few years ago on "cyber existence". I'm sure many of the younger readers aren't familiar with the term "cyber existence". We can thank the death of the Internet we had in the early 2000s for that. But I invite people to revisit this wonderful state of mind through the use of Mapleview Social. 

As for the Podcast, it explores the evolution of the cyber existence, contrasting the anonymous personal reinvention possible in the early internet era with the rigid identity constraints of modern social media. It argues that early digital spaces allowed users to inhabit idealized personas through chat rooms and forums, fostering a sense of self that often bled into their physical lives. However, the loss of anonymity and the requirement for verified data have turned the internet into a mere extension of one's offline reality. (Hint! You have anonymity and the early 2000s cyber existence available with Mapleview Social!) While the web once offered a boundary-free landscape for fantasy and romance, it has transitioned into a platform that largely reinforces social inhibition. Well, it's time to make the internet and social media fun again.

How Tibetan Snow Dictates Your Winter

Hello All:

I listened to an interesting Podcast this morning while getting ready for the day on how our brutal (and often early) winters are decided. While listening, the concept of snow and winter was so foreign to me. Living in the valley of Arizona, I've been faced with afternoon commute temperatures hovering 120 degrees. I'm sure that this sort of temperature really pushes the design limits of my poor car.  As for Winter, I won't see it. In January, it'll be beautiful weather in Arizona. But in many other places around the globe Winter is on the way. Will it be early this year?

When we think of weather and extreme conditions, we are conditioned to think of things like carbon emissions, global warming and melting glaciers... "If things don't change with the environment, I'm going to glue myself to the airstrip of a major airport and set myself on fire... Be sure to vote for the next Karl Marx so that half the country can finally be government funded transvestites and they can put THC in our drinking water!"

But, seriously! What causes a brutal winter that seems to drag on? Today's Podcast dives into some fascinating material that might initially seem like folklore and old wives tales. But , it's pure physics; all things proven to be scientifically accurate. With the approach of Winter not too far off, let's watch and wait to see if we have an early snowfall and test how true all of this is. Be sure to give the Podcast a listen.

It's Podcast Tuesday and we bring out the 'ole Robert Monroe Hemi-Sync tapes (just kidding, I don't have any). But we do have a nice podcast on the research of Robert Monroe and his Monroe Institute. Established by Robert Monroe, the institute utilizes decades of scientific research to explore the vast architecture of human consciousness and out-of-body experiences (OBEs).
