Have you ever thought of wearing a cross or even crucifix? Do you see people wearing these and wonder why they would do such a thing? It’s a lost practice that would be great if people embraced in the 21st Century. Sure, there are people still doing it. But they are very far and few between.
Wearing a cross or crucifix can be a powerful statement and a constant reminder of your beliefs and values as a Christian. What's more, with everything God has done for us; with everything Jesus has done, not to mention how the apostles put their lives on the line to bring Christianity to life, the least you can do is be a walking advertisement by wearing a cross.
Wear a bold crucifix to show off your a courageous spirit along with your Jesus pride! In a time when many feel challenged in their faith; in an age when evil is trying everything in its power to shut down Christianity, wearing such a symbol can serve as a reminder to all. There are many people who feel that anything pertaining to God or Christianity in general should be toned down and almost practiced in private as if not to offend other people. Yet there are many, many millions of people who consider themselves to be Christian. Demonstrate the boldness and strength of Christianity. Remind your fellow Christians that we should not back down!
Wear that cross with pride! Let it symbolize the very center of your life and energy; how you get your best strength and power from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
From the moment you put on that cross, you will suddenly feel strong as if nothing can hurt you. You are reminded of how close Jesus is, and you feel aligned with his suffering. You feel at one with the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
Wearing the cross holds you to a higher standard. You're a public representative of Christ, and people will be observing your actions. You can no longer show anger or use profanity. You can no longer gossip or say bad things about other people. Plus it holds your fellow Christians to a higher standard when seeing your cross.
How many times have you heard or read the term “the Divine” when referencing or eluding to the influence of God. Why do we do this? Why can’t people say God?
How many times have you heard someone say that they believe there is so much more to spiritual growth and development than what church and religion tells us? Since when??? It’s been good enough for over 2000 years!
How many people have turned to ancient pagan practices because they believe them to be more fulfilling? So Jesus spent his ministry on Earth, upgrading the human race to a new level of spiritual understanding that transcends light years beyond the ancient pagan practices at the time. And people want to go back to it? Be like the prophet Elijah in 1 Kings 18:25-39 who more or less said, “Lord, show these people who the REAL God is!”
So become a warrior for Christ. Put that cross on and wear it with pride. I dare you!
