Hello All:
I sincerely apologize for the lengthy delays between posts. But I think I'm starting to figure out how to get these articles out despite my very busy schedule.
It's Friday, and we should feature another NRG lesson from our friend Techno Kid.
Have a great weekend
Obstacles in the Pursuit of NRG
“Okay, so you've learned a lot since embarking on the journey of NRG. The growth I've seen in you since we started diving deep into this NRG rabbit hole... it's inspiring, man. Truly.
On day one of your journey, you learned that the initial step in the pursuit of NRG is to unleash the personal freedom and start to feel all that NRG. Easy enough, right? But then the second stage seems to be a battle with time. You want to experience as much as possible, but time limits this. So you do battle with time. That struggle against the clock, trying to cram in as many epic experiences and energy rushes as possible... that's the eternal dance of the NRG seeker.”
Techno Kid stands up and begins pacing, his movements fluid. Then he continues. "Time's always breathing down our necks, urging us to optimize every last second. But hey, that's what makes chasing NRG such a thrilling game, right? If the pursuit of NRG were easy, everyone would have it.
If you play NRG right, in just one afternoon of three hours, you can do a killer workout at the gym, followed by a martial arts workout, followed by some high speed road cycling and then swimming laps. You can grill dinner (maybe some beef kabobs and then wrap it all up with a couple drinks while dinner cooks. And might I emphasize, you can do it all in 3 hours. Yes, I have done this, and I know people who have done it, too. The best part, you are supercharged. It's like stealing NRG from the universe that aims to rob you of your NRG. If you can do that, brother, you are a straight up NRG superhero!
But then we get to the third obstacle. Maybe you've recognized it already in your quest for NRG. Have you ever noticed that each day there is the sudden drop of NRG? You might feel it between 2 and 4 PM, then about an hour before bed. Yes, the third road block in your way is dealing with those pesky NRG valleys throughout the day. Each one a hurdle, a challenge to overcome on the never-ending path to enlightenment. And the only solution to replenish NRG during these valleys is to sleep. Sleep, that glorious, rejuvenating escape from the daily grind. It's the great equalizer, the reset button for our weary minds and battered bodies. With just a 5-10 minute doze session, you've overcome the mid afternoon NRG drop. And, of course, the 8-10 hours that you should be getting each night. Think of it as a shallow death with new life at the birth of a new day... another day to pursue NRG!”
