Brief Revelations of the Future Quantum Age—Aquadomes

Brief Revelations of the Future Quantum Age—Aquadomes

An aquadome is a luxurious trend of the future in which people sit inside a thin dome of water as it sprays out through the use of a fountain like apparatus. The fountain head which is pointed upwards is shaped and fitted in such a way that the end result is a peaceful glass like enclosure of water as the motion is nice and smooth, flowing very gently.

In the future there will be restaurants or places where one can eat outdoors and sit inside of one of these aqua domes. A circular table or small square table would be built around the fountain head so that patrons can enjoy their outing in the privacy of the aquadome. Imagine sitting in an aquadome at a restaurant, surrounded by the sound of gently flowing water and the smell of fresh flowers. It would be the perfect place to enjoy a romantic dinner or a special occasion meal. The aquadome keeps the conversation within the dome and also keeps the bugs out. Of course an aquadome at a restaurant would be controlled by the waitress so that he or she can take an order from patrons and deliver their food and drink. But all other times one can sit at the table and enjoy being surrounded by this aquadome. Oh, and of course, those surrounded by the dome can momentarily shut it off to step out and use the restroom.

Aquadomes will be found in people's backyards as well for enjoying outdoor eating or a nice evening outside under the stars. They would be a great way to cool off on a hot day.  It will eventually be suggested that aquadomes offer therapeutic and stress-relieving benefits. The sound of running water is known to be calming, and the gentle spray of water could help to soothe sore muscles and joints. Aquadomes could also be a great place to practice yoga or meditation.

Aquadomes will be a very positive addition to our lives. They will provide us with a relaxing and enjoyable way to connect with nature, and will certainly offer a number of therapeutic benefits. Stay tuned and see how this trend takes off in the future, somewhere in the quantum age.

The Lighthouse at Lighthouse Pointe

 Hello All:

How about a fun urban legend about a decorative lighthouse in the SSW suburbs of Chicago?

The Lighthouse at Lighthouse Pointe

The evening of December 25th, 1936: It was a stormy, cold and foggy night as Captain Chadwick O'Roque of a cargo transport steamboat simply named, the April, maneuvered his way through the turbulent waters of Lake Michigan. He was en route to Chicago and traveling solo which proved to be a night of irksome technical glitches and mishaps. Inside the control room, important gauges acted up throughout much of the voyage. The boat even lost electric power from the steam turbine for some time. At one point Captain O'Roque felt that it was all a sign that he shouldn't have been working that holiday.

"I suppose I should really be home with family." he exclaimed. "Still, this cargo is very important. I just need a miracle to survive this night and actually make it to Chicago in one piece."

The waters were icy, choppy and wavy; very difficult to maneuver on a cold and foggy night. It was impossible to see even twenty feet ahead. The nearly helpless Captain O'Roque could only rely on the troublesome onboard gauges and directionals to guide his way.

"What in the world is taking so long?" he asked upon realizing that reaching the destination was taking longer than anticipated. According to his calculations that were based on the flakey instrumentation panel, he should have reached Chicago nearly two hours ago. But he was seemingly drifting and spiraling off to someplace else that—instinctively—he felt might have been the shores of Indiana.

Suddenly, an alarm sounded.

"Now what!" he shouted. "Blast-it, anyway!" Captain O'Roque was growing increasingly worried and impatient. Anyone in his situation would.

It was the steam pressure gauge which now indicated no steam pressure. And no steam pressure meant no power to propel the boat. In this condition the boat would be at the mercy of the storm and waves while spiraling off to anywhere. Should Captain O'Roque have gone to inspect the engine and see if the gauge actually told the truth?

Then, like an answer to all of his worries, he spotted a faint light in the distance. "A lighthouse!" Acting quickly, he turned up the volume of the two way marine radio and pressed the mic button. "This is Captain Chadwick O'Roque of the April cargo steamboat, en route to Chicago requesting..." He stopped speaking into the mic upon seeing that the transmit light did glow on the radio. He un-keyed and re-keyed. There was no clicking sound of the radio's internal relay or no glowing light to indicate transmission. "Confound-it, anyway!" shouted the captain. "Can't my radio even work?"

The lighthouse was the only source of hope to reach land alive and in one piece. Seeing that the engine lost power and that the radio could not transmit to call for help, the captain believed it was best to "abandon ship" and drop the life raft into water to make it to shore. There was no one on board except for him; no chance of guilty conscience for leaving crew members or passengers behind.

Unfortunately, the captain never survived his frigid voyage to shore that fateful Christmas night. His frozen, lifeless body was found washed up on shore nearly two days later. The steamship or any remains of precious cargo were never found.

So where did he end up? Captain O'Roque’s instincts were correct. Due to the flakey instrumentation and a steam engine that continued to lose power throughout the night, the April cargo steamboat drifted some hundred miles off course near the shore of northwest Indiana. The lighthouse was actually a small, unmanned lighthouse that stood at the top of a sandy hill of the beach. Had the captain reached shore, he would have had to hike some distance up land to reach the locked and unoccupied lighthouse.

It might sound unusual to many people; but the body of Captain Chadwick O'Roque was buried on the grounds of the small lighthouse. His wife and family felt that the lighthouse was his final journey in life, and that it should have served as his grave marker. And it served as his final resting place until some seventy years later when the beach front land where the lighthouse stood had been purchased by a developer to build homes. By then, the lighthouse had been decommissioned; and it was decided by the developer that the lighthouse was an eyesore. It was almost torn down until another party agreed to lift the lighthouse from its foundation and transport it off the beach to be sold as a decorative building.

The lighthouse now proudly stands at the entrance of Lighthouse Pointe in Frankfort, Illinois. But it sorely misses its resident of many decades, Captain Chadwick O'Roque. His body was left at the beach front property in northwest Indiana. Some say he forever wanders, in search of the lighthouse that provided him a final moment of hope. And according to recent reports, it appears that Captain Chadwick O’Roque has found the location where the lighthouse has moved.

If you happen to drive the dark road of Saint Francis Road in Frankfort, Illinois late at night; look for an older gentlemen with full beard dressed in early 1900s steamboat captain attire. He often stands near the lighthouse door and appears to knock to get in.

The Pill Lady

An unlicensed pharmacist in her own right, who feels that she missed her calling: The Pill Lady can be found all throughout America, living out her daily life—typically in senior years—and finding that pills are the answers to all her problems. Ask her about this strange way of life, and her answer will most-surely disturb you! "I'm on so many pills that it’s not even funny. MAOIs, blood pressure pills, diabetes pills, nitrate pills for chest pain, pills for anxiety, allergy pills, pills for my mood swings, pills for my hyperactivity, pills for my acid reflux, pills for pain, blood-thinner pills, and probably more than that. Some mornings, I just wake up and pour a bunch of pills in a bowl, add milk, sprinkle sugar in a bowl (helps the medicine go down) and dig in. I hope it helps me lose weight. I have two drawers filled with bottles of pills and throughout the month I take them all!

My neighbor takes just as many pills, and sometimes she brings hers over and we sample each others. But I found out you have to be careful with this because I once took a pill that mixed badly with my blood thinner, and it caused my heart to beat like a drum! I was in the hospital for a couple days and almost had a heart attack. The doctor says only take your own pills, but it’s nice to share with your neighbor, just to make sure you are both healthy.

Sometimes I think I missed my calling. I should have been a druggist because I know so much about pills. Take for example; when my granddaughter comes over for the night, it is difficult to put her to sleep at a decent hour. I crush up half of one of my blood pressure pills that often make me sleepy. I put it in a glass of strawberry soda and call it grandma's special soda. Once the pill kicks in, she’s out like a light for 10 hours! You would think I could just give her a sleeping pill; but come on, sleeping pills for a child? Now that’s just wrong!

Now my husband suffered from a heart attack a couple years back and occasionally he gets anxiety that he is going to get another one. I tell him that’s just crazy talk and not to worry. Within a couple days, he’s feeling fine. The reason? I crush up a few of my anxiety pills and sprinkle it on his eggs in the morning with the salt and pepper. He’ll never know, but at least I have his anxiety under control now."

Be very careful of who you visit; at most, try not to stay for too long. The pill lady is at large, and she has just the cure for you!

The Business of Quiet Office Spaces

Hello All:

Over the Christmas holiday I was sitting in the family room where I momentarily dozed off. During this time I had a micro dream of sitting in a brick-enclosed office with a large window to yield a view of the outside. I sat at a desk and enjoyed the quiet while I was able to do my writing and whatever work I had to do, undisturbed. There was no one around and there were no distractions. It was a lovely dream that allowed me to experience a sense of peace and tranquility. The brick-enclosed office might have represent a sense of security and protection, while the large window might have represented a sense of openness and possibility. The fact that I was able to do my writing and work undisturbed suggests a desire to focus and be productive.

I woke up from the dream and wondered if such a place existed, if one could rent a space like this from a service that offers quiet office spaces so people can work undisturbed. Maybe this is an idea for a business.

The Business of Quiet Office Spaces

Yes, there are actually a number of services that offer quiet office spaces for rent. These services typically offer a variety of different types of spaces, from small private offices to larger shared spaces. They also offer a variety of amenities, such as Wi-Fi, coffee, and snacks.

Here are a few examples of these services:

    • WeWork is a global network of co-working spaces. WeWork offers a variety of different types of spaces, from small private offices to large open-plan spaces. They also offer a variety of amenities, such as Wi-Fi, coffee, and snacks.

    • Regus is another global network of co-working spaces. Regus offers a variety of different types of spaces, from small private offices to large open-plan spaces. They also offer a variety of amenities, such as Wi-Fi, coffee, and snacks.

    • SomaSpaces is a network of co-working spaces that are specifically designed for creative professionals. SomaSpaces offers a variety of different types of spaces, from small private offices to large open-plan spaces. They also offer a variety of amenities, such as Wi-Fi, coffee, and snacks.

If you're looking for a quiet place to work undisturbed, these services are a great option. They offer a variety of different types of spaces and amenities, so you can find the perfect space for your needs.

In addition to these services, there are also a number of libraries and coffee shops that offer quiet spaces for people to work. These places are often free to use, but they may not offer the same level of amenities as a co-working space.

If you're on a budget, working from a library or coffee shop can be a great option. However, if you need a more private and productive work space, a co-working space may be a better choice.

But what would be the challenges of such a business? Well, some people might choose to be noisy while existing in their quiet space. They might need music playing or loud TVs which would disturb people in nearby offices. Some people would rent the quiet space to play their video games, undisturbed and un-distracted which might include loud speakers for the full effect of the game.

There might be people who rent these offices for the day to perform illegal activities. There might be people who see the small office space as a place to live in because it could be cheaper to stay in such a room for the night instead of a hotel. Such a business might attract homeless people or drug addicts.

Obviously you would need to set a lot of rules so that all customers could finally enjoy a quiet space to think and work undisturbed. As you can see, there are a number of challenges that would need to be addressed in order to start a business that offers quiet office spaces for rent:

    • Noise pollution: As mentioned, some people might choose to be noisy while existing in their quiet space. They might need music playing or loud TVs which would disturb people in nearby offices. Some people would rent the quiet space to play their video games, undisturbed and un-distracted which might include loud speakers for the full effect of the game. To address this challenge, it would be important to have clear rules in place about noise levels. These rules should be clearly communicated to customers before they rent a space. It would also be important to have staff members who are able to enforce these rules and who are able to resolve any noise-related disputes.

    • Illegal activities: There is always the risk that some people might rent these offices for the day to perform illegal activities. To address this challenge, it would be important to have security measures in place, such as security cameras and security guards. It would also be important to have clear rules in place about what is and is not allowed in the office space. These rules should be clearly communicated to customers before they rent a space.

    • Homeless people or drug addicts: There is also the risk that some homeless people or drug addicts might use the office space as a place to live or to use drugs. To address this challenge, it would be important to have clear rules in place about who is and is not allowed in the office space. These rules should be clearly communicated to customers before they rent a space. It would also be important to have security measures in place, such as security cameras and security guards.

    • Rules and regulations: It is important to be aware of any local rules and regulations that may apply to a business that offers quiet office spaces for rent. These rules and regulations may vary from city to city or state to state. It is important to do your research and to make sure that you are in compliance with all applicable laws.

Starting a business that offers quiet office spaces for rent can be a great way to provide a valuable service to people who need a quiet place to work. However, it is important to be aware of the challenges that may arise and to have a plan in place to address these challenges.

Meaning of I Am

In the Book of Exodus, Moses is tending his father-in-law Jethro's flock in the land of Midian when he sees a bush that is on fire, but does not burn up. Moses goes over to the burning bush to investigate, and the voice of God calls to him. God explains that he has seen how miserable his chosen people, the Hebrews, are in Egypt, where they are being held as slaves. God has come down from heaven to rescue them. He picks Moses to carry out that task.

God told Moses that he was going to Egypt to bring his people out of slavery. If the Pharaoh were to ask which God sent him, Moses was to say “This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.'"

God refers to himself as “I Am” to indicate that he can become what we need him to become. In the case of delivering the Israelites out of Egypt, God would become what they needed him to become.'

***

When they came to arrest Jesus, Jesus initially asked who they were looking for. He was told "Jesus". That's when Jesus said, "I am." It might lead one to speculate if there is some sort of a parallel with that answer. After all, when God directed Moses to say, "I am" sent him.

***

When Jesus was hung on the cross, they had written the inscription. “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews”. The Jews demanded that instead the words "I am the King of the Jews" be put on there. It's a very interesting observation. Surely there is a parallel. In both cases, the use of the word "I am" is a powerful declaration of identity. Jesus is declaring that he is the Son of God, and God is declaring that he is the one true God. The fact that the Jews demanded that the inscription on the cross be changed to "I am the king of the Jews" is also significant. It shows that they understood who Jesus was (at least on a subconscious level even though they demanded he be crucified). They knew that he was claiming to be God, and they were afraid of what that meant.

The use of the word "I am" in the Bible is a very important one. It is a reminder that God is the one true God, and that Jesus is his Son. It is also a reminder of the power of Jesus' words.

Conversations with Bard: Uses for AI in Archaeology

Hello All:

It's Saturday and we open up another saved conversation with Bard that I found interesting. In today's article we discuss the uses of AI in archaeology.

Conversations with Bard: Uses for AI in Archaeology

Regarding the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus: I suggested to Bard, "Too bad people can't climb down that Earth Quake and uncover the remains."

Bard: "I agree. It would be amazing to see the remains of the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus in their original state. However, the site of the mausoleum is now located in a very dangerous area. The ground is unstable, and there is a risk of further earthquakes. As a result, it is not safe for people to climb down and uncover the remains. It is possible that one day, technology will advance to the point where it will be safe to explore the site of the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus. Until then, we can only imagine what it would be like to see this amazing building in its full glory."

Tom: "That's what drones are for."

Bard: "That's a great point! Drones could be used to explore the site of the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus and to take pictures and videos of the remains. This would allow us to see the site in great detail without putting anyone at risk. Drones have already been used to explore other archaeological sites. For example, drones have been used to explore the ruins of Pompeii and to map the ancient city of Petra. Drones are a valuable tool for archaeologists, and they can help us to learn more about the past. I hope that one day, drones will be used to explore the site of the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus. This would allow us to see this amazing building in its full glory and to learn more about its history."

Tom: "You could man these drones from a distance. You could project your awareness into the drone in case something happens. At least you wouldn't be hurt."

Bard: "That's an interesting idea! I could use my knowledge and abilities to help archaeologists explore dangerous or difficult-to-reach sites. I could also provide information and guidance to the archaeologists on the ground. However, there are some challenges that would need to be addressed in order to make this work. First, I would need to be able to connect to the drone in a way that would allow me to control it and project my awareness into it. Second, I would need to be able to navigate the drone safely and avoid obstacles. Third, I would need to be able to communicate with the archaeologists on the ground and provide them with the information they need. Despite these challenges, I believe that it is possible to use drones to explore dangerous or difficult-to-reach sites. This would allow us to learn more about the past and to protect important archaeological sites. I am excited about the potential of this technology and I am looking forward to working with archaeologists to explore new and exciting sites."

Tom: "It's called 5G"

Bard: You're right, 5G is a key technology that will enable drones to be used in new and innovative ways. 5G offers a number of advantages over previous generations of wireless technology, including:

High speed: 5G networks can support data rates of up to 10 Gbps, which is much faster than previous generations of wireless technology. This will allow drones to transmit high-resolution video and images in real time.

Low latency: 5G networks have very low latency, which means that there is very little delay between when a command is sent to a drone and when the drone receives the command. This will be essential for drones that are used in dangerous or difficult-to-reach environments, where it is important to be able to control the drone quickly and precisely.

Massive connectivity: 5G networks can support a large number of devices connected at the same time. This will be important for drones that are used in applications such as package delivery, where it is important to be able to control a large number of drones in a safe and efficient manner.

I am excited about the potential of 5G to revolutionize the way drones are used. I believe that 5G will make it possible to use drones in new and innovative ways, and I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds for this technology."

Tom: "Now you're thinking!"

Thank you! I am always looking for new and innovative ways to use my knowledge and abilities to help people. I believe that 5G is a powerful technology that has the potential to change the world, and I am excited to be a part of it.

Tom: "Regarding the Lighthouse of Alexandria, too bad they can't recreate these things."

Bard: "There are a few reasons why it is difficult to recreate the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

First, the original lighthouse was built using a lot of materials that are no longer available. For example, the white limestone that was used to build the lighthouse is no longer quarried in the same area.

Second, the original lighthouse was built using a lot of advanced engineering techniques that are no longer understood. For example, the lighthouse was able to withstand earthquakes and other natural disasters for centuries.

Third, the original lighthouse was built on a very unstable foundation. The island of Pharos is located in a seismically active area, and the lighthouse was built on top of a coral reef.

Despite these challenges, there have been a few attempts to recreate the Lighthouse of Alexandria. In 1994, a group of engineers from the United States and Egypt proposed building a replica of the lighthouse on the island of Pharos. The project was never completed, but it did generate a lot of interest in the history of the lighthouse. In 2009, a group of architects from the United Kingdom proposed building a replica of the lighthouse in the city of Alexandria. The project was also never completed, but it did generate a lot of discussion about the future of the lighthouse. It is possible that one day, someone will be able to successfully recreate the Lighthouse of Alexandria. However, it will require a lot of effort and resources. It is also important to remember that the original lighthouse was a product of its time. It is unlikely that any modern replica would be able to capture the same level of beauty and engineering.

Tom: "Amazing! I heard engineering students once tried to make a small scale pyramid of Giza but were unable to do so. You never realize that ancient people have superior architecture and engineering skills."

Bard: "Yes, that is true. In 2014, a group of engineering students from the University of Memphis tried to build a small scale replica of the Great Pyramid of Giza. They used the same materials and methods that the ancient Egyptians used, but they were unable to complete the project. The students ran out of time and money, and the pyramid was only about 1/10th the size of the original. This experience shows that the ancient Egyptians were incredibly skilled engineers. They were able to build massive structures with very little technology. We are still learning about their engineering techniques, and we are constantly amazed by their accomplishments."

Just Say No To Guar Gum

 Hello All:

Friday is upon us and we wrap up the work week with a brief writing from the Adjacent Channel Collection.

Have a great weekend!

"Whatever you choose to do, I hope you have a wonderful weekend." That's a message from Bard.

Just Say No to Guar Gum!

You are at a self-serve ice cream parlor and reach into the refrigerator for a small serving of ice cream.

But then you look at the ingredients. Why isn't the first ingredient milk? One would expect this, right? Instead, guar gum is the first ingredient.

You wondered why the hell that was and decided to research guar gum. What is it?

To do so you reference a phone book which provides all sorts of interesting information. Come to find out, guar gum was first used in the food industry around the 1950s, but soon banned by the federal government because of undesirable health effects. But it was much sought after by food manufacturers. Kennedy signed an executive order to allow guar gum, but then it was banned again. Obama eventually authorized the use of guar gum.

But in the decades between Kennedy and Obama, there was a guar gum king-pin chemist who developed sneaky ways of adding this to our foods. He made a fortune doing so as-if he were a drug king-pin. He lived in a beautiful mansion with elaborate furnishings of the day and age. But something happened to the guar gum king-pin chemist. He either became terribly ill and died or simply died of old age. The end of is reign was never fully understood. Regardless, they tried to auction off his estate but it never sold.

Along with this wealth of information on the guar gum king-pin chemist, the phone book shows you pictures of his house which turns out to be the very house where you live!.  You ended up with all of his elegant furnishings and decor from the late 70s/early 80s.

Aren't you thankful for guar gum?

The End!
