Welcome Home (Planetarium)

Hello All:

I recently heard that Weird Al Yankovic will soon be going on tour. And I always believed that he had done a parity on Metallica's "welcome home (sanitarium)". The music video contained scenes of people running away from the exhibits while trying to escape; all the while, they go mad. But, as I found out, Weird Al never did this. What a shame? But, here's how the song might go.

Welcome Home (Planetarium)

Verse 1:
Welcome to the darkened dome,
Where the stars are never free,
In this cosmic nightmare zone,
Trapped in endless misery.
Lights are flashing, shadows crawl,
Can’t escape this astral maze,
Lost in space, I hear the call,
Of the void that drives me insane.

Chorus:
In the planetarium,
Where the dreams decay,
Stars are screaming,
In a twisted ballet.
In the planetarium,
No way to break free,
Reality’s collapsing,
It’s consuming me.

Verse 2:
Galaxies of swirling dread,
Spinning tales of woe and fright,
Every star is filled with dread,
In this endless, haunting night.
Voices whisper, “Stay awhile,”
Trapped beneath the cosmic sway,
As the planets spin and smile,
I’m a puppet in their play.

Chorus:
In the planetarium,
Where the dreams decay,
Stars are screaming,
In a twisted ballet.
In the planetarium,
No way to break free,
Reality’s collapsing,
It’s consuming me.

Bridge:
Look up at the stars,
They’re laughing at my fate,
I’m a captive in their light,
It’s a cruel masquerade.
Can’t escape this endless show,
The cosmos holds me tight,
Endless visions, spinning slow,
In the depths of night.

Chorus:
In the planetarium,
Where the dreams decay,
Stars are screaming,
In a twisted ballet.
In the planetarium,
No way to break free,
Reality’s collapsing,
It’s consuming me.

Outro:
Welcome to your fate—
It’s the planetarium,
You’ll never escape—
In this cosmic delirium.
